Team Knurdz (University of Moratuwa) was named among the top 25 teams in Proxy Maze '26 after Challenge 1 — the 24-hour technical sprint that opened the build journey for this edition.
Knurdz advanced past the first filter alongside teams from universities across Sri Lanka. The hackathon remains in progress, with further stages ahead in the 14-week programme.
About the competition
Proxy Maze '26 is a 14-week university hackathon presented by Torch Proxies (Torch Labs), focused on building original solutions that use proxy infrastructure as a core part of the stack.
Teams of 2–4 students from the same university move through registration, technical challenges, proposal review, guided build phases, and mentorship workshops. Challenge 1 tested core skills and practical use of Torch Proxies products; the programme continues with proposal and implementation stages for the teams that qualified.
