The IEEE Student Branch Website is the official web presence for the IEEE Student Branch, University of Moratuwa — one of the most active and leading Student Branches in Sri Lanka. The site introduces the branch to prospective members, highlights its chapters and affinity groups, and connects a community of 1,000+ active members and volunteers with events, initiatives, and opportunities for growth.
Knurdz delivered the site as web partner, giving the Student Branch a modern, engaging platform to communicate its mission and stay connected with the UoM engineering community.
The Problem
Student branches run on volunteer energy, but outdated or fragmented web presence makes it hard to showcase impact, recruit members, and centralize contact. The IEEE SB at Moratuwa needed a single, credible destination that reflects the scale of their community and makes it easy for students and partners to get involved.

Public Experience
The homepage leads with the branch story and impact metrics, then guides visitors toward community participation and direct contact. The design supports both discovery (what IEEE SB UoM does) and action (join, collaborate, or reach out).
